Removal of Non-Hazardous Waste NVQ
Level 2 NVQ - (Blue CSCS Card)
The removal of non-hazardous waste NVQ is a recognised qualification for operatives who are experienced and working within a suitable remit. It is a great progression route for experienced labourers and other site personnel who implement the safe removal of non-hazardous waste from the work area. It is also a recognised opportunity to move from a Green CSCS Card onto a Blue Skilled Worker card.
Candidates must demonstrate practical skills and work-related knowledge to prove competence and the ability to work safely and to a good standard.
How Your NVQ Is Assessed
Unlike many other providers, we don’t require you to complete lots of written work. Where appropriate, your assessor can gather evidence through discussion and verbal questioning, making the process much more straightforward.
You also don’t have to manage an online e-portfolio yourself. Your assessor takes responsibility for building and managing your portfolio of evidence.
Your assessor will visit you in your workplace to assess your skills and gather evidence for your NVQ. This may include observing you carrying out your normal work and discussing your knowledge, skills and responsibilities with you. Discussions and assessments may be recorded electronically as part of the assessment process.
Where appropriate, witness testimonies from a manager, supervisor or other suitable person can also be used to confirm your competence and the responsibilities you carry out at work.
The aim is to assess you through the work you already do, without impacting on your busy routine.
How Long Does the NVQ Take?
The timescale between registration and completion varies for different candidates – candidate experience and willingness are key factors here. However, 2-4 months is an achievable duration for competent ceiling fixing operatives.
Cost
The standard cost of this Level 2 NVQ is £795 plus VAT at the prevailing rate. Grant money can be claimed back at completion by companies registered with CITB.
