Construction Contracting Operations NVQ
Level 6 NVQ - (Black CSCS Card)
This qualification is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and enables the holder to apply for Chartered Membership, upon submission of a successful Professional Review.
The Level 6 Construction Contracting Operations NVQ, is suitable for a variety of
managers and contract professionals, including:
Contracts managers
Project managers
Site managers
Estimators
Buyers
Planners
Surveyors
It is the most flexible and practical Level 6 management NVQ, which leads to a Black CSCS Card. Due to the flexibility with units, it can be tailored to suit different remits operating at a managerial level.
NOTE: There is also a Level 3 version of this NVQ, which leads to a Gold CSCS Card
Process
The process of delivery for this qualification varies from candidate to candidate. However, we do not implement an e-portfolio for candidates to manage; your assessor oversees this process.
Depending on circumstances and planning, your assessor may visit you in your workplace to carry out face to face assessment activities (although the whole NVQ may be carried out remotely).
Recorded discussion and examination of documents, e-systems, reports, programmes, etc., are key assessment techniques for capturing evidence of candidate areas of responsibility, and level of understanding (written Q&A can be introduced if preferred). A third-party reference (witness testimony) may be used as another source of evidence, to help confirm your areas of competence.
Duration
The timescale between registration and completion varies for different candidates – candidate experience and willingness are key factors here. However, 3-6 months is an achievable duration for competent candidates.
Cost
The standard cost of this Level 6 NVQ is £1700 plus VAT at the prevailing rate. Grant money can be claimed back at completion by companies registered with CITB.
